2. When ordering my custom hardwood flooring, how many additional square feet should I order to accommodate for waste during the installation process?
Unlike most wood manufacturers, we recommend only ordering approximately 5-7% extra wood waste. However your flooring installer will ultimately provide the total square footage he/she would like to see delivered to the job site, including waste.
3. How does moisture affect hardwood flooring?
Moisture can cause cupping, cracking, and buckling. As with any wood product, even engineered flooring, it is important to monitor your humidity levels year round in order to prevent your hardwood floor from being damaged. A poor environment will have a negative affect on both solid wood flooring and engineered flooring. If a floor is installed correctly and moisture levels are monitored, no issue should arise.
4. What products do you recommend for cleaning my hardwood floor?
We recommend using a damp mop with soap and water. If you'd like to use a cleaning kit, we would recommend using Bona products.
5. What is your return policy?
Since all of our hardwood floors are custom-run, all sales are final.
6. My hardwood floor did not ship correctly; what do I do?
If there is a discrepancy in the product you have received, a claim must be made within 7 days of being shipped. Products must be in the original state as shipped; if the product has been altered or damaged, including, but not limited to, cut, stained, finished, or installed, you have accepted the product.
