Since every wood floor is custom, we will work with you on your selection of the face scrape or distressed face to ensure the degree of scrape is exactly what you’ve ordered, whether it’s a subtle to extreme face scrape.

SKIP SAWN FACE

The skip sawn texture is naturally created from the mill as the tree is sawn down into planks. There are two different options when choosing a skip sawn face: circle skip sawn and band sawn skip. These skip sawn textures are offered on several different custom wood floors and is a great option for those looking for a rustic floor! Keeping skip on the face of your wood floor can also distract the eye when wear and tear takes place.

The amount of skip can be chosen by the customer, either light, medium, or heavy. As in any custom wood floor, there will be variances, but the overall floor will be close to those percentages. The range of each level is listed below:
Light (approximately 10-25%)
Medium (approximately 25-50%)
Heavy (approximately 50-75%).
